The Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb

Come and cool down with refreshing programmes at the Museum

Summer at the Museum of Contemporary Art is really cool because...
Our Educational Program offers fine arts workshops and specially organized thematic museum tours in English during the summer months.

For our youngest visitors aged 6 to 12, we have prepared a playroom-exhibition called Mini-Šutej, which accompanies the retrospective of the great Croatia artist, Miroslav Šutej. This space has especially been designed for young visitors (but grown-ups are also allowed!) and is located on the first floor in the Temporary Exhibition Space. We shall make sure that Šutej’s world filled with colours, shades and contrasts becomes the source of your inspiration, game, learning and joy.

One-hour programs for children and youth can be organized from Tuesday to Friday from 12:00am to 1:00 pm.
Workshop in English is HRK 50,00 (EUR 7,00) per person.
Reservations must be made by email or call +385 1 60 52 700.

Programme for youth aged 13 to 19
We all agree that to understand language we must first learn vocabulary. During the tour “Do you speak contemporary art?“, a specific course on the language of contemporary art, we shall specially focus on the interpretation of terms such as ready-made, installation, interaction, video installation, performance, action, happening, agitation, conceptual art… Don’t be afraid of the seriousness and technicality of these terms, because our young art historians and educators shall present them in an interesting way and introduce you to a new way of looking at contemporary art that you can hardly imagine before visiting the Contemporary Art Museum.

Program in English is HRK 50,00 and includes ticket and tour.
