Miroslav Šutej’s kinetic object Bum-Bum I-68 from 1968  thematizes an explosive occurrence that radially spreads from the centre. We witness the decomposition of the whole into its constituent parts, a fast, powerful, and dynamic occurrence that strongly influences all our sensory organs, as if we watched a “bullet passing through an apple”
