Olga Jevrić (Belgrade, Serbia, 1922)

Complementary Forms 1956 / 1957

125 cm x 84 cm x 53.2 cm

Olga Jevrić's Complementary Formsare sculptural works typical of the fifties: they emerged along the lines of free and individual explorations of materials with a stress on spatial properties discovered in the process of decomposing mass. In the post-war period, this Serbian sculptor has not directed her efforts at the interpretation of actual reality or joined the extolling of social mythologems. She is primarily interested in the inner space of a sculpture.
