Jan Fabre (Antwerp, Belgium, 1958)

Four Seasons – Grave of an Unknown Computer

1994 / 1995

4 x (120 cm x 120 cm)

Fabre’s relation to the world of insects borders with awe. Although insects and their civilisation can be the epitome of intelligence and beauty, they can also be carriers of infections and calamities or even bring death. The artist’s fascination with the world of insects has led him to the strongest symbol of today, to the medium of the digital era, the computer.
