Slow Learner 2, by Miodrag Gladović and Bruno Pocheron, is a synaesthetic installation for 33 incandescent light bulbs. As these warm, familiar sources of light disappear from our homes and public spaces, the work pays homage to the glass, vacuum and tungsten devices that kept darkness at bay for more than a century.
Here, the bulbs become performers. Electrical sound pulses make their filaments, metal components and glass envelopes vibrate, transforming each bulb into both a source of light and a fragile loudspeaker. Light becomes audible and sound becomes visible, creating a shifting perceptual space where seeing and hearing begin to merge.
The installation also reflects on liveness and absence: without performers on stage, the light fixtures themselves take on the role of protagonists, generating an intimate performance/concert of light, vibration and sound.
Marijana Krajač, Ph.D. - New Forms: Dance Practice Spaces at the Moša Pijade Workers' People's University in Zagreb – The Experimental Independent Scene as an Expanded Conception of Emerging Space
Research Presentation
Presentation explores several spaces within the former Moša Pijade Workers' People's University in Zagreb that, at various times during the building's history, served as dance studios, venues for dance work and research, and sites for public dance events. Taking into account the progressive principles of worker education within the self-management model and the building's modernist profile, the research maps a continuum of concepts evident in the discursive and experimental practices of contemporary dance artists who worked in these spaces during the early 2000s—including artists associated with the "Experimental Independent Scene" (EkS-scena) dance network. Drawing on Jacques Derrida’s suggestion regarding the fluid nature of architecture, the research focuses on a multiplicity of narratives and historical layers. By mobilizing the dynamic spatial, historical, political, and artistic sequence of "Moša," the presentation examines the potential of advanced spatial concepts, the educational horizons of the Workers' People's University, and the spatial-conceptual and performance-conceptual interventions of experimental dance practices as vital tools for the emancipation of art, processes, and space.
Presentation duration: 30 minutes + 15 minutes for audience discussion.

Andrej Mirčev: Remembering Željka Sančanin
Želj(k)a’s Videography
Conceived as a conversation accompanied by a screening of a photo and video archive of her works, Andrej Mirčev’s lecture maps the key aesthetic characteristics that defined the artistic practice of Željka Sančanin (1979–2023). Taking into account the specific context of the Museum of Contemporary Art, the presentation focuses on the transdisciplinary points where dance meets and intersects with new media. At the same time, by applying the concept of hauntology to the selected material, Željka’s expanded choreography is situated within the discourse of critical archiving and the effort to generate counter-memories of dance.

Nikolina Komljenović, Discollective(SI), Bruno Pocheron(FR/DE): The Voic_Ing
The Voic_Ing project explores the constitutive elements of performance and dramaturgy through the use of body and technology. The foundation of this developmental phase—titled Ti Jelo Glas A—is light acting as a third, equal performer. The physicality of the performer is valued on par with the immateriality of light and sound within the resonant space. Multiple spaces of perception are constructed through a logic of dream-like visions and a non-linear dramaturgical process. The aim is to create a clear framework for the performance form that stands in counterpoint to the performance's content. MOMENTARINESS is the primary focus, resulting in an openness to the influence of present parameters. Momentariness in knowledge, practice, and reactions to habits moves toward the resolution of those very habits.
The manifestation of ideas—through sound that moves the body and a body that modifies sound, with the body itself acting as the product—slips through our fingers. Through this work, we neither consume nor offer the consumption of a "product"; instead, we engage in a dialogue with the given parameters of the space and the people present at the performance.
We question CONSUMERISM, FORM, BOUNDARIES, and the PERCEPTION of performance.
Practicing surrender. Examining conventional practices and breaking down intellectual and somatic barriers within both the performing and observing bodies. The Voic_Ing acts as a catalyst for dialogue; indeed, dialogue is the primary approach to this project. Without dialogue, the performance cannot exist.
THE VOICE ARTICULATES THE BODY; THE BODY DIRECTS THE VOICE.
