We invite you to the closing event of Giacomo Zaganelli’s residency, during which he has spent the past month exploring the Museum of Contemporary Art and its local context. Join us on Sunday, 25 October, at 11 am on the MSU plateau.
Giacomo Zaganelli is an Italian artist based in Berlin whose practice explores the relationship between art, public space and community. As part of the international project Museum of the Commons and the Meeting Point project (Točka sastajanja), his residency was selected through an international open call that received more than 200 applications. Over the past month, he has explored the Museum and the city of Zagreb, as well as their social and cultural contexts.
We will gather on the MSU plateau for a conversation about Giacomo’s impressions of Zagreb, its cultural scene and the Museum. Together, we will reflect on the social role of museums within their local contexts and discuss Giacomo’s ideas for future collaboration with the Museum. The conversation will conclude with a collective action, followed by food and drinks.
The residency takes place within the framework of Točka sastajanja and Museum of the Commons, as part of the international confederation L’Internationale.
The programme is supported by the City of Zagreb, the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, and the European Union’s Creative Europe programme.
We would like to thank Vedrana Magjarević for lending Giacomo a bicycle, allowing him to explore the city on two wheels.
