Upon the opening of Andreja Kulunčić's exhibition Making the World a Better Place, a panel discussion will occur at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb. Curators and collaborators of the artist, who were also involved in this exhibition, will gather to reflect on the role of art in society and the potential for social change that art can inspire.

The exhibition To Make the World a Better Place by Andreja Kulunčić at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb presents a retrospective of her thirty-year artistic practice, with a focus on socially engaged themes. The exhibition is divided into five key themes: feminism, trauma, migration, self-organisation and self-education, and a structural analysis of the artist’s working methodology.

The panel discussion will be held on May 16, 2025, starting at 4:30 PM, within the exhibition space at MSU. The artist will be joined by her collaborators: Irena Bekić (Croatia), Amanda de la Garza Matu (Mexico), Martina Munivrana (Croatia), Anca Verona Mihulet (Romania/South Korea), and Katharina Schlieben (Germany). During the conversation, they will explore the role of art in society and the possibilities for real social transformation that art can spark.

The language of the panel is English. The program is free of charge with a valid exhibition ticket. No registration is required to attend.
